NURAP’s Membership subcommittee is excited to launch NURAP’s Professional Development Awards. The professional development awards provide opportunities for professional growth, development and networking for members of the Northwestern University Research Administration Professionals community. The number of awards and the dollar amount awarded will be based upon the number of applications received.
/Eligibility/
• Applicants must be a Northwestern University employee for at least 30 days by application due date.
• Applicants must be NURAP members. Applicants can become NURAP members here:

/Application Requirements/
• Name of virtual or in-person conference/meeting/workshop of interest, including corresponding website URL.
• Summary of how conference/meeting/workshop will benefit applicant’s research administration career.
• Confirmation and description of any departmental/unit support.
• Awardees will be required to submit a brief summary report to NURAP’s Membership Subcommittee.
/Terms and Conditions/
• Applicants are eligible for one award per fiscal year.
• Applicants must be a Northwestern University employee at the time of award and reimbursement.
• Awards must be used for the professional development opportunity listed within the submitted application. Any anticipated changes to the application after submission will need to be approved by the Membership subcommittee.
/Optional (not required)/
In addition to the required summary, the Membership Subcommittee may reach out to awardees to see if they would be willing to share their professional development experience with the larger NURAP community. Previous examples include: writing a NURAP RAP-Up article, serving as a NURAP ad hoc or steering committee member or reporting out at a department, school, center or NURAP@Noon meeting.
/Dates/
• Applications are due by 5:00pm CT Monday, December 6, 2021.
• Awardees will be notified by Friday, December 17, 2021.
