Northwestern is now a subscriber to the Funding Institutional database search engine platform from Elsevier, a well-known brand that powers Northwestern Scholars. Take advantage of the revamped platform to search for new funding opportunities, set due date alerts and automatic notifications, and see past awards made in certain programs or agencies. You can access these features using the NetID sign in option by clicking “sign in” via your institution and follow the prompts to enter your NetID and password. Note that access requires the NU IP network, VPN, or log in using your NetID.
FEATURES and HIGHLIGHTS
• Database contains 18,000+ active funding opportunities from more than 3,500 government and private funders around the world, including 2,000 U.S. funders
• Allows sign-in via institutional NetID credentials
• Offers an intuitive interface for saving searches, tracking funding opportunities, and establishing automated email alerts
• Easily disseminates relevant funding opportunities by email or by sharing a direct link to an opportunity
• Provides insights into the funding landscape with information on over 6 million awarded research grants to aid in discovering potential funders
• Links with Scopus to generate researcher-specific funding recommendations
